Poetry as Prophecy - December Solstice 2026

In this 2-hour immersive online workshop, we will explore poetry as prophecy - invoking the ancient power of words to listen deeply, call in vision, and speak truth to our times. The solstice - whether the longest day or the longest night - is a natural threshold, a moment when the cycle of the sun pauses, inviting reflection, intention, and vision. It is a liminal time, a doorway between what is fading and what is emerging, where the ordinary and the sacred meet.

Through guided visualisation, sacred readings, and intuitive writing prompts, you’ll journey into a space where poetry becomes both medicine and oracle. We will read prophetic works by poets including Joy Harjo, Rainer Maria Rilke, and Audre Lorde. , and invite the messages of the solstice to emerge through your own voice.

This workshop is a shamanic-like journey for anyone who longs to:

  • Connect with the energy of the solstice

  • Receive inspiration and guidance for the season ahead

  • Use poetry as a tool for reflection, prophecy, and sacred activism

  • Create a prophetic poem as a personal or collective offering

What you’ll need:

  • A quiet space where you can write and reflect

  • A notebook or journal, and pen

  • Optional: a candle, stone, or small object to anchor your ritual practice
